This portrait was of a Grandmother’s 8 year old grandson. This client wanted me to come over and draw her grandson from life. Her grandson had posed for me for about 3-4 two hour sessions. I had taken photographs of him at the very beginning of the session to help decide which pose the grandmother liked the best. Then we had put her grandson in the pose that the grandmother liked the best. I did the initial drawing from life and then parts of the editing I used the photograph.
